Isaiah 61 Woman
For women buried beneath Proverbs 31 perfectionism, Real Jesus raises real women to life.
Isaiah 61 Woman is a survivor-facing space for women recovering from spiritual trauma, harmful Christian formation, church harm, and the impossible expectations that can become attached to Christian womanhood.
Some women arrive here after purity culture.
Some after complementarian systems, Proverbs 31 perfectionism, Titus 2 formation, coercive mentoring, reproductive expectations, spiritual abuse, church exile, or years of being taught that holiness meant becoming quieter, smaller, more useful, and less fully alive.
Not every woman will have language for what happened.
She does not need it before she is welcome here.
The center is Real Jesus.
Isaiah 61 Woman is not built around deconstruction as an identity.
It is built around the conviction that Real Jesus can distinguish Himself from what was done in His Name.
He does not require a woman to disappear in order to belong to Him.
He does not confuse domination with authority.
He does not call collapse submission.
He does not require endless capacity as evidence of holiness.
He receives the testimony of women.
He restores voice, embodiment, differentiation, communion, and life.
This is a place for real women.
Real women have bodies with limits.
Real women have voices.
Real women grieve.
Real women ask questions.
Real women need rest.
Real women may carry spiritual trauma alongside enduring love for Jesus.
Real women are not spiritual failures because a system taught them to disappear and their bodies eventually could not keep doing it.
Isaiah 61 Woman exists to make room for those women to encounter language, correspondence, Scripture, and survivor-informed resources without being required to perform another version of Christian womanhood correctly.
What you will find here
Letters to Real Women
Correspondence for women recovering voice, embodiment, and life.
Over time, Isaiah 61 Woman may also hold resources addressing spiritual trauma, harmful Christian formation, Scripture reclamation, embodiment, limits, church harm, spiritual homelessness, and life with Real Jesus after coercive systems.
This space is growing slowly and deliberately.
It does not require disclosure.
It does not rank women according to recovery.
It does not place a human leader at the center of another woman’s spiritual life.
Real Jesus remains the center.
Resurrection is His work.
Life is the fruit.
